Section 01 · Basics
Which Safavieh bar cart to buy
Safavieh publishes a weight capacity for almost every cart it sells, which almost nobody else in this category does. The figures run from 11 lb to 50 lb, so the brand name settles nothing and the model number settles everything.

Safavieh is unusual in this category for a boring reason that turns out to matter: it publishes a weight capacity for almost every bar cart it sells. Half the market publishes nothing at all, so a brand that puts a number on the page is worth paying attention to.
Then you read the numbers. Across the carts compiled here they run from 11 lb to 50 lb — for the whole cart, not per shelf. Two Safavieh carts within about a hundred dollars of each other differ by a factor of four in what their maker says they will hold. So "a Safavieh bar cart" is not a specification. The model number is.
For most people the answer is the Sienna: 40 lb published, 34 inches tall, and the deepest working surface here on the smallest footprint. The rest of this page is about when it is not.
What I compared them on
The published capacity, and the fact that it is a whole-cart figure. Every capacity on this page is for the entire cart rather than per shelf, which is a weaker and much tighter statement: it tells you nothing about what the top tier takes on its own, and the top tier is the one you load. A full 750 ml bottle weighs roughly 2.5 to 3 lb, so 11 lb is about four bottles and 40 lb is about fourteen — before a glass, a tray or an ice bucket. How to read a rating is on bar cart weight capacity.
Height against the serving band. Bar carts sit between roughly 32 and 36 inches, which is the range that lets you build a drink standing up. Three of these six are below it, and one is 23 inches tall, which is side-table height rather than cart height. The band is worked through on how tall a bar cart should be.
Depth, then width. Fifteen inches of depth takes a standard 12 by 16 inch tray flat, and a tray is what keeps a pouring area off a glass or veneer shelf. Five of these six clear it comfortably. Width decides how much of a wall the cart eats, and it varies here by a factor of nearly three.
What the shelves actually are. Tempered glass, painted glass, acrylic, woven rattan and a veneer over engineered board all appear in one brand's range, and they fail in completely different ways. That is also most of the reason the capacity figures diverge.
Assembly. Safavieh publishes whether a cart needs it and, on most models, how long it takes — ten minutes on some, thirty on others. One of these six arrives built.
The six, by the numbers
| Cart | W x D x H (in) | Weight | Published capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sienna BCT8001A (gunmetal) | 23.8 x 19.9 x 34 | 24.25 lb | 40 lb |
| Lameris BCT8011A (matte black) | 29.5 x 17.9 x 32.6 | 23.3 lb | 30 lb |
| Eliza BCT8005A (brass) | 31.3 x 16 x 33 | 30.86 lb | 40 lb listed, 22 lb on its own sheet |
| Ambrose BCT6500A (rattan) | 28.74 x 18.7 x 30.3 | 21.1 lb | 40 lb |
| Rollins BCT8006A (acrylic) | 13.5 x 15.5 x 23 | 20 lb | 26.46 lb |
| Zunia BCT2504B (green glass) | 35.8 x 18.6 x 30 | 32.3 lb | 11 lb |
Every figure above is from Safavieh's product page for that model, with the date it was read recorded on each product card.
The six, and who each is for
The pick (Sienna BCT8001A). 23.8 inches wide, 19.9 deep, 34 tall, 24.25 lb, 40 lb published. It wins on the two dimensions people get wrong: it is the narrowest cart here, so it fits a wall most of this range does not, and at the same time the deepest, so a full-size tray sits flat with margin. 34 inches is mid-band. The catch is that 40 lb is a whole-cart number and this is a two-tier cart, so the lower shelf carries the spares and everything not in use.
The one with handles (Lameris BCT8011A). 29.5 inches wide, 23.3 lb, with curved handles at both ends and protective rails on the shelves — the two things most carts this size leave off, and both of them matter on a cart that crosses a rug edge. Veneer shelves rather than glass means no fingerprints and no water rings. Two costs: 30 lb published is the second-lowest here, about ten bottles, and veneer over engineered board swells permanently if a spill sits at a cut edge.
The brass one (Eliza BCT8005A). The cart that tops the brass roundup, and the reason this page prints two figures in one row: Safavieh's product page says 40 lb and Safavieh's own assembly instructions for the same model say 22. It is worked through in full on the Eliza review. Plan for 22 and it is still a handsome cart at a comfortable height; plan for 40 and you may be planning on a figure its maker contradicts.
The one that arrives built (Ambrose BCT6500A). Woven rattan and engineered wood on antique brass wheels, 21.1 lb, 40 lb published, and Safavieh lists assembly required as no — the only one of these six that ships built. If flat-pack is the thing you are avoiding, that is a real argument. Against it: 30.3 inches is below the serving band, and woven rattan is the hardest surface here to get a spill out of.
The acrylic one (Rollins BCT8006A). This is the cart people are looking for when they search for an acrylic Safavieh, and it is much smaller than the photographs suggest: 13.5 inches wide and 23 inches tall, which is nine inches below the bottom of the serving band. As a rolling side table beside a sofa it is charming and it publishes a sane 26.46 lb. As a bar cart you stand and pour at, it is the wrong object.
The widest (Zunia BCT2504B). 35.8 inches of top surface, more than anything else here, on a green painted frame with glass shelves — a color this category almost never offers. Then the number: 11 lb for the entire cart. The frame weighs 32.3 lb empty, so it is rated to carry about a third of its own weight, or about four full bottles. Buy it for the width and the color, and keep the bottles somewhere else.
Two more the brand sells that are not on this list. The SAFAVIEH Couture Isabellina is the deepest cart Safavieh makes at 18 inches: 30 lb published on a 33 lb iron frame, and 30 inches tall, which puts it below the band. It was made in a brass finish until autumn 2026; that listing is gone and the version still sold is black iron with clear glass, so it no longer appears on the brass roundup. And if what you want is a Safavieh cart for outside, the one to look at is the Orland tea trolley — 39.4 inches wide, 23.8 deep and 35.7 lb of natural wood, which makes it the widest and deepest thing the brand puts on wheels. It is also the one cart here that publishes no capacity figure at all, so the argument this page is built on does not apply to it. What to check on an outdoor cart instead is on the outdoor roundup.
Why one brand's figures vary this much
Safavieh is a furniture company rather than a flat-pack cart specialist, and its bar carts are not one product line built in one place. The pages publish the country of origin, and these six come from three: Taiwan, China and Indonesia. The materials are just as mixed — tempered glass, painted glass over an MDF structure, acrylic, woven rattan, powder-coated steel with a veneer shelf.
That is the honest explanation for the spread, and it has a practical consequence. A rating is a statement about a specific structure: what the shelf is made of, how it is fixed, and what the frame does under load. It is not a brand property, and it does not transfer from one model to the next even when the two carts look like siblings in the same catalog.
It also explains why the cheapest cart here is not the weakest. The Sienna is 24.25 lb of metal and tempered glass rated at 40 lb; the Zunia is 32.3 lb of metal, glass and MDF rated at 11. More material bought you a wider cart, not a stronger one.
What Safavieh publishes that most of this category does not
Worth saying plainly, because it is the reason this brand is easier to shop honestly than most. On a typical Safavieh product page you get the finish and surface treatment, the materials, the dimensions, the item weight, a weight capacity, the country of origin, whether assembly is required, a care and cleaning note and a downloadable assembly sheet. Most listings in this category publish a title, a photograph and a width.
The one caveat is the Eliza, where the assembly sheet and the product page disagree about capacity. That is an argument for opening the assembly sheet before you buy — it is free, it is linked from the product page, and on more than one model it carries figures the listing does not.
The care notes are worth reading too. They are short and consistent: dust with a soft dry cloth, no abrasive cleaner, and spray glass cleaner onto a cloth rather than onto the cart, which keeps it off the frame. On the painted and plated finishes that is not fussiness — see gold versus brass for what an applied finish does when it is treated like solid metal.
Before you order
Find the capacity for your exact model number and treat it as a whole-cart figure. Check the height against the 32 to 36 inch band if you intend to stand and pour, because half this range sits below it. Check the depth against 15 inches if you want a tray to sit flat. And if a cart is going somewhere it will be pushed rather than parked, the Lameris is the only one here that publishes handles and rails.
If the brand matters less to you than the finish, the wider field is on the gold roundup and the brass one, and the two budget brands that dominate everything under a hundred dollars are settled on HOOBRO or VASAGLE?

- 19.9 inches deep takes a standard 12 by 16 inch tray with room to spare
- 34 inches sits in the middle of the 32 to 36 inch serving band
What is not

Pick 02 · Handles and rails
Safavieh Lameris 2-Tier Bar Cart with Handles, Matte Black (BCT8011A)
SAFAVIEH
The cart in this range that publishes the two things most of the category leaves off: curved handles at both ends and protective rails on the shelves. 29.5 inches wide, 23.3 lb, matte black powder coat over gray veneer, and a published 30 lb for the whole cart.

- Veneer shelves rather than glass, so fingerprints and water rings do not show
What is not
- 30 lb for the whole cart is about ten full bottles across both shelves
- Veneer over engineered board swells permanently if a spill sits at a cut edge
- Safavieh publishes no material for the shelves beyond a gray veneer

Pick 03 · The one with a number
Safavieh Eliza Bar Cart, Brass and Black Glass (BCT8005A)
SAFAVIEH
The only cart in this group that is both properly in stock and publishes a load figure, and the figure is the reason to read carefully: 40 lb for the whole cart on its listing, and 22 lb in Safavieh's own assembly instructions. Black glass on a brass-finished metal frame at 31.3 inches wide, from a brand that has been in business for over a century.
- Dimensions
- 16"D x 31.3"W x 33"H
- Weight
- 30.86 lb
- Load, whole cart
- 40 lb listed; 22 lb in the instructions
- Materials
- Plated metal frame, tempered black glass
- Shelves
- 2
Specs compiled from: Safavieh Eliza BCT8005A published listing, retrieved 2026-09-14; Safavieh product page and assembly instructions, retrieved 2026-09-17.
What is good
- It publishes a load figure at all, which only half this category does
- 33 inches tall sits inside the normal serving band, unlike most brass carts
- Black glass wipes completely clean, unlike the mirrored glass the look usually comes with
What is not
- Its own assembly instructions say 22 lb, not 40 — plan for about seven full bottles
- Two tiers only, so anything not in use lives on the lower shelf or elsewhere
- Brass here is a finish over metal, not solid brass — it scratches to a different color

Pick 04 · No assembly at all
SAFAVIEH Ambrose 2-Tier Rattan Bar Cart (BCT6500A)
SAFAVIEH
Woven rattan and engineered wood in a gray wash on antique brass wheels, 21.1 lb, and the one Safavieh cart the brand lists as arriving fully assembled rather than flat-packed. 40 lb published for the whole cart, which ties the best figure of the six compared here.
- Dimensions
- 18.7"D x 28.74"W x 30.3"H
- Weight
- 21.1 lb
- Load, whole cart
- 40 lb
- Materials
- Woven rattan and engineered wood
- Assembly
- None — ships assembled
Specs compiled from: SAFAVIEH Ambrose BCT6500A product page and Amazon listing, retrieved 2026-09-19.
What is good
- Safavieh lists it as arriving fully assembled rather than flat-packed
- 21.1 lb is the lightest cart Safavieh publishes a weight for here
- 40 lb whole-cart ties the highest figure among the six carts compared here
What is not
- 30.3 inches is below the 32 to 36 inch serving band
- Woven rattan is the hardest surface here to clean a spill out of
- 40 lb is a whole-cart figure, so it says nothing about the top tier alone
#ad Disclosure · Price as of October 17, 2026

Pick 05 · Acrylic, at side-table height
SAFAVIEH Rollins Clear Acrylic Bar Cart (BCT8006A)
SAFAVIEH
A clear acrylic C-frame on transparent casters, 13.5 inches wide and 23 inches tall. It is the smallest thing in this registry by a distance and it is not a standing-height cart — treat it as a rolling side table that happens to hold a bottle.
- Dimensions
- 15.5"D x 13.5"W x 23"H
- Weight
- 20 lb
- Load, whole cart
- 26.46 lb
- Materials
- Acrylic frame, chrome trim
- Shelves
- 2
Specs compiled from: SAFAVIEH Rollins BCT8006A product page and Amazon listing, retrieved 2026-09-19.
What is good
- Clear acrylic takes up almost no visual space in a small room
- 26.46 lb published, which is a real figure for an object this size
- Transparent casters, so the frame reads as one piece
What is not
- 23 inches tall is nine inches below the bottom of the serving band
- 13.5 inches wide holds about four standing bottles in a row
- Acrylic scratches more easily than metal or glass, and scratches show white
#ad Disclosure · Price as of October 17, 2026

Pick 06 · The widest top in the range
SAFAVIEH Zunia Green and Clear Glass 2-Tier Bar Cart (BCT2504B)
SAFAVIEH
35.8 inches of width, which is the most surface any Safavieh cart here offers, on a green metallic frame with glass shelves. Then the figure that decides it: 11 lb published for the entire cart, on a frame that weighs 32.3 lb empty. That is the lowest capacity in this registry.
- Dimensions
- 18.6"D x 35.8"W x 30"H
- Weight
- 32.3 lb
- Load, whole cart
- 11 lb
- Materials
- Metal frame, glass shelves, MDF
- Shelves
- 2
Specs compiled from: SAFAVIEH Zunia BCT2504B product page and Amazon listing, retrieved 2026-09-19.
What is good
- 35.8 inches wide is the most working surface in the Safavieh range
- 18.6 inches deep takes a full-size tray flat
- Assembly is published at about ten minutes with the included Allen key
What is not
- 11 lb for the whole cart is about four full bottles — the lowest figure in this registry
- The frame weighs nearly three times what it is rated to carry
- 30 inches tall is below the 32 to 36 inch serving band
How these were picked
I have not tested any of these carts. What I did instead: compiled the published specifications from each listing, recorded the figures with their source, checked the footprint against the clearances a real room has, worked out how many standard bottles a stated shelf actually holds, and named the one I would skip. Where two listings for the same cart disagree, the page says so rather than quietly picking one.
