Editorial policy
How pages are sourced, how often they are reviewed, how corrections work, and the specific claims this site will not make.

Who writes this
Scooter M. writes Cart & Coupe. One byline, one voice, and it is framed by interest rather than by expertise — an enthusiast, not a specialist. That framing is deliberate: it is true, and it stays true across every topic this site covers, which a claim of expertise would not.
There is no editorial team and no expert panel, and this site will never imply that there is. More on the about page.
Sourcing
Every factual claim on this site traces to one of three things:
- A published manufacturer or retailer specification, cited on the product card with the date it was read.
- A live data feed — prices and product images, when available. When it is not available, nothing is shown rather than something remembered.
- A named, linked external source, listed in the Sources section at the foot of the page.
If a claim cannot be traced to one of those, it does not get published. We do not write "studies show" without the study, and we do not attribute a statement to anyone who did not make it.
Where sources disagree — and on bar cart dimensions they routinely do — we publish the disagreement and name both, rather than picking one silently. The clearest example is the dimensions reference.
Claims this site will not make
- That we tested, owned, assembled or used a product. We have not.
- Any credential, qualification or certification. There are none to claim.
- Any tenure claim — "long-time", "veteran", "years of experience". This site is new and pretending otherwise is the easiest lie to catch.
- Fabricated reviews, testimonials or ratings. There are none anywhere on this site, and none will be invented to fill a layout.
- A star rating or score of our own in structured data. We publish no first-party product ratings, so marking one up would contradict our own copy.
- Manufactured urgency. No countdowns, no "limited stock", no "prices won't last". We do not know that.

The date rule
A displayed "last reviewed" date changes only when something actually changed. We do not bump a date to look fresh. If a page says it was reviewed on a given date, a human read it on that date and either changed something or confirmed it was still right.
This matters because the alternative is common. One major review site currently serves a buying guide dated March 2023 under a title advertising the current month. Doing the opposite is cheap for us and structurally hard for a content farm.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us at info@cartandcoupe.com or through the contact form. What happens next:
- We check the claim against the source it cites.
- If the source has changed, we update the figure and the retrieval date.
- If we got it wrong, we correct it and note the correction on the page.
- If a reader who owns the product tells us a published spec does not match reality, we record that, say so on the page, and credit them.
That last route is the only way genuine hands-on information about these carts reaches this site, and we take it seriously.
