What this site is

Cart & Coupe covers bar carts exhaustively: which one to buy, whether it fits the room you have, and what goes on it once it arrives. Those three things are the same decision, and no site we looked at treated them that way — eight of the ten competitor pages we fetched had no internal links to any other bar cart content at all.

So the site is built the other way round. Every roundup links to the size guide, every size guide links to the stocking guide, and every cart in the model library links back to each roundup it qualifies for.

Who writes it

Scooter M. An enthusiast, which means someone genuinely interested in the category rather than someone with a credential in it. He got interested in bar carts the way most people do — by trying to fit one into a room that did not obviously have space for it, and discovering that the published dimensions for the same cart do not always agree with each other.

He reads the manufacturer listings, compiles the published specifications, checks the arithmetic, and writes down where the numbers disagree. He has not tested these carts, and he says so on every page that recommends one.

What this site will not claim

No hands-on testing, no ownership, no test lab, no team, no credential, and no tenure. Cart & Coupe is a new site and pretending otherwise would be both a lie and the easiest kind of lie to catch.

In a category where three of six ranking pages claim hands-on testing — including one published by a self-described technology blog — refusing that claim is the position worth taking. It is also the only position we can defend. The full method is on how we pick.

What we do have

• Published specifications, compiled and cited. Every dimension and load rating on this site carries its source and the date it was read.
• The arithmetic, shown. Shelf ratings converted into bottles. Footprints converted into clearances. Glass heights checked against shelf gaps.
• The conflicts, published. Where two sources disagree about a "standard" bar cart dimension, we name both rather than quietly picking one.
• A stated opinion. Every roundup names one product we would skip and says why.

How it is funded

Corrections

If a figure here does not match the listing it cites, or you own one of these carts and a published spec is wrong, we want to know. Write to info@cartandcoupe.com or use the contact form. We verify it against the listing, correct the page, and credit the person who told us.

That is genuinely the only route by which real-world experience of these carts reaches this site, and it is the one kind of hands-on information we can honestly carry.

Cart & Coupe is published by Slate Mill Group. There is no physical premises, no service area and no phone line, so you will not find a business address or a phone number anywhere on this site — inventing one to look established is exactly the kind of thing this site exists not to do.
