Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026. This policy explains what Cart & Coupe collects when you visit, and what it does with it.

What we collect directly

Only what you type into the contact form. If you send us a message, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you provided. We use them to reply and to correct the page you told us about. We do not add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Messages are delivered to our own mailbox by email and are not shared with anyone else.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which buy links are clicked. That is aggregate reporting — page paths, approximate location, device type, referrer — and it is how we decide what to write next.

Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on Google's infrastructure under its own terms. If you would rather not be included, a browser-level tracking blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on will exclude you, and the site works identically either way.

We also record an affiliate_click event when a buy button is clicked, containing the merchant, the destination link and the page it was clicked from. It contains nothing about you personally.

Affiliate links

Buy links pass through a redirect on this domain — /go/ — which adds our Amazon Associates tag and sends you to the retailer. Once you arrive at Amazon you are on their site under their privacy policy, and they may set their own cookies to attribute the visit. We receive no information about what you buy beyond aggregate commission reporting.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data. There is nothing to sell.
• We do not run a newsletter or a mailing list.
• We do not have user accounts, logins or profiles.
• We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Hosting and logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested path — for operational and security purposes under its own policy. We do not use those logs to build a profile of any visitor.

Your choices

You can block cookies and analytics in your browser, and the site will function normally. If you have written to us and would like your message and email address deleted from our mailbox, ask and we will delete them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. We do not bump the date without a real change — the same rule that governs every other date on this site, as described in the editorial policy.
